Question Portable water softeners

Looking to get a portable water softener for our rig. Wondering what brand units folks are using and how well they work. Thanks

Mobile-Soft-Water 16,000 grain and a two stage pre-filter for us . The difference was night and day while staying in California this winter.

We have the On-The-Go double softener. Been using it for a year now and it's the best thing I've purchased. We wintered in Yuma and the water is so hard there that it leaves water spots on your skin!

Thanks for the responses. Have looked at both of these units and will be getting one soon as the water at our snowbirds park in Florida is quite hard.

I've been using a Flow-Pur softener for a number of years with great results.

Here's another JOF thread on softeners:

The fiancé and I just had the opportunity to use the 16,000 grain On-The-Go Double Standard WS on South Padre Island (witch all of central/south Texas has wicked hard water) in our Eagle trailer. Absolutely amazing!

She was able to wash her ocean salty hair with half the conditioner at home and the soap made 10x the suds as we were used too.

For hard water areas I would definitely recommend getting one. In fact a bought a second one to wash the vehicles as home with. No more hard water spots on the glass.

Thanks for the replies. Definitely going to get one to deal with the hard water in Florida!

We also have the On-the-Go Double tank. Received it as a retirement gift in 2012. Absolutely love it. When we purchased our 2016 Pinnacle, there was a compartment for the 3rd propane tank (but it was a gasoline prepped generator) we paid the dealership to run water to/from the compartment & we place it there. It is now out of the "elements". This year we had to change out the resin in the tank.

We will be picking up our new Pinnacle 36FBTS very soon. How and where are you folks mounting these units? I can't tell by the pictures how large and heavy they might be/
Thanks

I store mine and the pre-filter in a milk crate. When traveling I just lift the crate up and store it next to the wet bay. Pull it out at the next destination. The pre-filter is a one micron canister filter. Then there's the whole house filter after the softener. I have the On-The-Go double standard model. Extremely pleased with it. Some pics of my setup:
