Thanks for that link. I copied everything over to a Word file for future reference (tried printing to PDF but the pictures didn't carry over; strange that).

Just remember once tied down it may defeat the "auto water dump" feature, depending on which model awning you have.

Each of the two poles is adjustable, I would think one side could be a little lower than the other to dump the water, but I may not understand the "auto dump" feature. I'm new to this powered awning deal, haven't even picked up my trailer with a power awning.

With the "auto dump" one set of arms (usually depending on which set is lower unless you don't have it tilted) will start to fold toward the camper and the center of the fabric will start to "V". If the arms can't move toward the camper you could end up with water collecting on the fabric.

Saw a tie-down recently that was 2 large-ish plastic flower pots with fake flowers (weighted w/ concrete) and an eye ring protruding which was hidden by the flowers. Small boomers were sued to secure the awning corners to the pots. Downside is the room they take up while enroute.
But they were actually cute.

I haven't heard the term "boomer" in years.

Don't have a power awning, but I like the idea .
