Because you alerted the CG maint. to your problems, other campers may not experience the same things.

They are STILL working at it. The power surge happens to be inches away from our unit (which we aren't plugged into anymore, we are onto a 50 amp pedestal with a 50/30 dog bone).
The guy is determined to find and fix the problem and his asking for a little prayer.

Glad to hear you have some solutions which are working for you, and a very helpful CG.
If it were me, I would hold off the re-wiring of the RV.
Carrying a dog-bone for 50A to 30A is well worth doing though.
