Power tongue jack

After the first weekend away I am going to be purchasing a power tongue jack so my youngest will be able to assist dad with TV hook up and disconnect.........thats my excuse :-). Does anyone have any advice on which to purchase? My X19 has a reported TW of 410lbs but I haven't pulled out the scale to verify. I've seen a few on eBay and Amazon that are priced right but sometimes you get what you pay for.......anyone?

Congrats on your new TT. 110% on the electric tongue jack. We're empty-nesters so for us it allows the svelt bride to do some of the hookup while I'm doing other things.
IMHO it's best not to cheap out on something like this.
I bought an Atwood 3500# which has plenty of "oomph" for my spring bars. But... on our first outing I discovered that it is a little tall. When I unfold the forward bunk it comes within about an inch of the jack head. There's no contact but I've considered moving the bunk cables to the higher hole to give it a little more clearance. Haven't done it yet tho.
I'd suggest whatever you purchase insuring you can return it if you discover a clearance problem or measure the jack and bunk end clearance prior to purchasing.
After you get it in and get used to it DON'T FORGET WHERE YOU STORE THE MANUAL CRANK.:hihi:
If you can turn a wrench, install it yourself, it's a snap.

Barker VIP 3500 here and it's probably the best single mod I've made to the TT since I bought it.

I also have a Barker and don't have a problem with clearance between the bunkend and the jack.

We have a 4000lb Fulton Bulldog and have clearance issues with the propane tanks. I just had to mount the jack sideways and it works fine. Happy with it so far.

Most everyone goes for at least a 3500LB model... Easy install in the same holes your manual tongue jack is installed. Hooks up to the battery terminals close by...

My vote goes for Atwood. We have had 3 trailers (2 RVs and a car hauler) over a 25 year period, all equipped with Atwood electric jacks, and not once have we had any problems whatsoever.

I just put on an lipert 3500. Cleared propane tanks no problem. Went with the brand as our rv dealer ordered a shipment of 400 or something and got a steal of a deal on it. Happy with it so far.

Barker Power jack with video

We just got a Barker 3500 with 24" rise. It works great. My son is getting into video editing so we made a "how-to" on the installation. I am sure he would get a kick out of a few views if anyone is interested. Forgive my lack of install skills!

Watched the video...it looks to be a real simple job. I think the power jack is a must have.
