Pro Flex RV Sealant

Our Jayco White Hawk 20MRB has a nice stone guard appliqué on the front. But it's only 40% of the surface area. It has horizontal line/seal running port to starboard. The factory seal there totally evaporated. Today I applied Pro Flex Sealant above and below the moulding. Okay, what's the application technique that works. My effort look like laughable. HELP.

tape both sides run a bead ... smooth with mineral spirits on finger then remove tape and smooth again with mineral spirits lightly

Of course tape, that I forgot. Now, I did use mineral spirits (job looks like I drank it). Do you pour in a bowl dipping as you go.

Thanks for the replies.

I just dip finger or pour on finger to use as a lubricant and it helps flow and to remove excess

if you have major excess in the bead I would soak a white cotton towel in mineral spirits and run across to the all excess off then smooth with finger after
I wouldn't say its a science but having as little as necessary and still sealing is the idea and the last run across try to make it one smooth stroke with the wet finger

Good luck .. I know it is something you want to do right. In my restoration business I hate sloppy sealing on the cars . When I can use sem 2 part self leveling seam sealer.
