Prodigy 3 Brake Controller Owners

A month or so ago, my Prodigy 3, for lack of a better term, "geeked out". The display starting strobing and flashing on and off at a very high rate of speed. This happened when the trailer was NOT connected. After that one time, it hasn't happened again.

Today, I took the White Hawk out for it's first shakedown before a planned trip. The P3 had forgotten all of the settings, so I had to reset all of the settings.

Now, here is where I am a bit perplexed. Before I could get a decent braking response, I had to set the power to 10.5 and the Boost to Boost2. I do not recall where the settings were before the darn thing geeked out. My question, does the power setting seem high to you other P3 owners.

Thanks, in advance.

Murff

P.S. I do plan on adjusting the brakes tomorrow!

Prodigy 3 Brake Controller Owners

Sounds like there is something wrong with that controller or the wiring.
I wouldn't gamble with brakes. I've never had to run a Prodigy controller much past 2.5 on my 20ft TT

When I owned my P3 one time I connected my shore power with the umbilical still attached to the running TV. My unit did not like that and had to be unplugged and reset from factory settings. It flashed and went haywire.

Just something to take note of.

When I got mine, it acted crazy (similar to what you describe) and I called them and they immediately sent me a new unit and a label to send the old one back... have had no issues whatsoever with the replacement in the past year of use.
