Progressive

Since I have been with Progressive they have managed to raise my policy from 525.00 three years ago to now 786.00 no claims and good driving record. I guess they needed to pay Flo more.

I shop around every 3 or 4 years for prices with same coverage. 2 years ago I left USAA for Geico.

It appears insurance rates across almost every market have gone up substantially in the last couple of years. It's worse for property policies. It's worse if you do have claims!

I do not know what you are insuring, but I just went with Progressive (full overage) on our Alante 26X for $430/yr, I did have coverage on our previous motor home and the premium actually went down every year.

One thing about insurance companies, is it doesn't seem to matter how loyal you are to them or how long you have been with them. They keep jacking up the rates no matter your driving or accident record. Insurance is our biggest expense in retirement and just keeps going up.

We have State Farm because he have an awesome local agent and they were a great company to deal with when I was in the automotive collision industry. Progressive was one of the worst.

I call my insurance and my cell companies every couple of years to ask why? They have changes every once in a while and just my save you dollars to modify your plan..

Good luck.

They told me.........

"Medical care costs are the drivers of the premium increases"

Yeah I was upset......no tickets and all.

But looking around and comparing prices, Progressive was ALWAYS lower by a good chunk.

Yes they always go up, right now Geico is best quote. Our county in Ky have a tax on insurance policies that adds almost 100.00 tax on a policy for a year

My RV Insurance has gone down twice in the last 2 years. My Homeowners has stayed the same. My auto only went up $2 this year.

I have no accidents or tickets and my credit score is 820.

Just for grins and giggles, after constantly watching the silly Gekko and Liberty Butual ads, I had them both quote car insurance that renews this month. Both were higher. It took LONGER than 15 minutes and i didn't save 15%.

Oh, BTW, I DO live in NY.

If you are not high risk, Wawanesa is what I have. Can’t beat their prices.

I guess I don't get that one. Because we have paid the same price for Progressive for a least 4 years same price never went up and get this. We bought brand new cars and no raise in price. Must be where you live. Because Michigan is the highest in the nation for auto insurance and I feel we are not paying that much compared to others. AND we are only paying 65 a month for the travel trailer for 6 months. There has to be something somewhere that is increasing the cost. Might want to review your policy and see what it is. I know we are getting senior and veteran discounts. Good luck. I am not leaving Progressive any time soon.

Good deal with State Farm

So...just switched insurance carrier to State Farm on a 2018 Jayco Hummingbird 17FD that was purchased new in Jan. 2019. Have full coverage with full replacement (new rig), 500 deductibles on collision and comprehensive, and 250 deductible on other comprehensive (hail, tree falls on camper, I do something stupid, etc), plus 2500 on contents. My price is $341.00 full year coverage. However, I have inside storage and excellent credit which I'm sure had a positive impact on price. The next best deal with full replacement was Good Sam's at $425.

I pulled up Wawanesa and had a look.

They restrict policies to California, Oregon and Canada.

USAA and Amica are the highest rated insurance companies. If you or any member of your family have served in the armed forces you can go with USAA. Progressive is not even in the top 10.

I always thought the same about USAA. I left them about 4 yrs ago for a MUCH better rate with GEICO.
