Hopefully I'm not wrong wit this, but 1.99 gallon should be jut less than $10 if filled o 80 percent...20lb tank is 5 gallons.

FYI it takes roughly 4.7 gallons of propane to fill a 20 LB. tank because one gallon of propane weighs 4.2 lbs. So about $9.35 to fill a propane tank is a pretty good deal.

Update on the price. Just filled 2 20# tanks at the Huskey for $15 each. Flat Fee, both were completely empty from this weekend's camp.

That's a good price. Can't seem to do it for less than $20 in the valley. I've been asking everyone I know with a trailer or barbecue. I also just found a place just south across the border that has it for 1.99 gal. That's even less than what I was surprised to pay earlier.

I was lazy this week and just did the exchange tank at Home Depot. That was the type of tank that was on my TT from PO.
It states each tank is supplied at 15lbs on the machine. $19.99 ea

Next time I'll hit U-Haul and see what their prices are.

In and around southern New Hampshire propane is about 2.85 per gallon and a 20 lb tank take about 4.7 +- gallons, so about $13.50 to fill if empty. Larry

It looks like I'll have to wait until next year to see what it will cost me. I have one full tank for the grill at home and 3 empties. My wife doesn't want to spend her camping trips cooking, so we nuke something or hit the campground snack bar. It doesn't make sense to run the gas heater when an electric space heater using free electricity does the job, besides, it's not cold enopugh to need heat this month.

Around here it is $12 - $14 for a 20# tank and I paid $21 to fill a 30# tank flat rates.
