Propane regulators

This question is for those knowledgeable in propane regulators. I am experiencing a propane leak which I believe may be the regulator. Upon searching Amazon I see a wide range of prices for them which seem to me to be equal in quality. My question is am I missing something or are some just over priced?

I think the Marshall brand is one of the better made regulators.

Before you replace the regulator, be sure to check the hose between the tank and regulator. I replaced an auto-change regulator after checking for leaks around the nuts that screwed into the regulator. Those were fine, but the compression connection between the hose and the nut was leaking. I replaced the regulator for nothing.

I'm suspect of them all being of the same quality. I agree the Marshall/Excelsior regulators are one of, if not the best if you can find one. The regulator recall in the industry has caused some supply and demand issues, until the manufacturers can catch up.
