In Louisiana, we pay 8-10% sales tax depending on what parish (county) you live in. You can buy a permanent plate for a one time fee of $70. But no annual property tax on the RV.

In Florida, the selling dealer collects 6% state sales tax at the time of purchase, plus registration fees or tag transfer fee if you are transferring the tag from one RV to another. If your county of residence imposes a local option sales tax (typically 1/2%) , that is added to the sales tax. No personal property tax annually, only registration fee that I believe is based on weight or size of the RV. Registration for our WhiteHawk is $57 annually.
