Putting slides in for the winter - how cold is too cold?

Hi,

We missed our window of opportunity a couple weeks ago when the weather was in the 50's, and now the predicted high is about 38 and low at night 28 coming up this weekend. We're already winterized otherwise, just need to put the slides in. Can we still put them in, or will there be issues with the slide gaskets? Can we turn on the heat for a few hours to try to warm them up and then put them in?

Thanks!

Shouldn't be a problem.

Should not be a problem.

Question is why you didn't put the slides in after you winterized??

No issue at all. Just roll them in.

Good question - forgot to mention our FW is sitting on vacation property, and the longer term forecast (2 weeks out) still had the temp in the 50's - so we thought we'd go up one more time and just bring a porta potty and water jugs!

Thanks for the help everyone!

fyi I just heard back from Jayco (figured I'd go to the source!) - they said ideally it should be above 32 degrees but will still be fine down to about 20 degrees, and a Minnesota dealer who's been doing this for 20+ years also agreed. The dealer said just try to do it during the warmest part of the day, which I'll do when - hopefully - the sun will be shining!
