Question about be plugged in

We are on our 5th RV, currently have a 2020 Greyhawk Prestige 31FP. I have never left our RV's plugged in at home, I normally would just plug them in before a trip, or if a week or so went by without us using it. I would like to leave it plugged in all the time. Do I need to leave the power cut off switch on when it's plugged in at home? I wasn't sure if the switch needs to be on for the charger to work? Any help is appreciated.

Always left it on no reason to turn it off. We kept our 2001 Designer and 2008 Seneca at home and plugged in 24/7. Just check the batteries regularly.

On my Class C the battery is still being charged with the battery/power switch off. The switch controls the 12V SUPPLY to the camper (lights, fans, etc), for both the battery and the converter 12V. If plugged in, battery gets charged.

I generally leave my switch off, and plug in just to maintain charge to the battery. Then If I need anything in the camper (lights whatever), then flip the switch on.

If plugged in then leave the disconnect switch on. If unplugged then turn it off so the batteries don't drain due to co alarm and other things draining the battery.

I have had mine plugged in 24/7 at the house .No issues. As mentioned earlier make sure to keep an eye on the battery water level. I check mine every couple of months. I also still use my surge protector.

I Also leave it plugged in 24/7 or only leave unplugged when I have full sun for my 300w solar.

Either way, allowing the batteries to get too low will damage them and require early replacement.

The factory disconnects are worthless since they leave too much on to still drain the batteries.
Full disconnect or solar or leave it plugged into shore power 24/7.

Thanks for the quick replies. It was more a curiosity question. We have a 30 amp plug in the garage so I thought I would leave it plugged in all the time, this way it’s always topped off.

Easy fix for that. Move the smaller fused post from the right to the large right post where all the other powered black wires are.
