So after reading some more threads on this site, I called my local Camping World dealer even though they are not a Jayco dealer here, and talked to service, and they will honor Jayco's warranty all day long with no issues.
So it looks like I won't need my local Jayco dealer for anything....

You might want to read up on "Camping World" RV services (do a search) before ditching your Jayco dealer. Sometimes the devil you know is better than the devil you don't. Lots of opinions on this forum.

I wouldn't let Camping World check the air in my tires.

So which CW store are you referring to?
There are over 85 last count and increasing.

RV dealerships are different than automotive or other equipment dealerships. They are usually not bound to perform warranty work for items not sold by them. So it is their choice wether to perform the work or not and when they perform it for items they didn't sell.

FWIW, I've had great experiences at the camping world in Golden Colorado. I guess like most things, they are all different. Because their are so many of them, it's no surprise that there is a lot of visibility when a handful of their locations are not up to par with the rest of them.

Reading this thread makes me realize that buying locally for me probably was a mistake. I probably could have saved money by going through the internet. I got it at 30% off MSRP but probably could have done a bit better... My dealer has a mixed bag of reviews concerning service but the one time I had it there they kept it for 2 weeks as they said they would have to, and what they fixed, works... so I have no complaint.

Honestly I think 30% is a good number. I don't see people saving much more than that.
I think you did pretty good.

After shopping around for my 29RKS (including Camping World), I "KNOW" I could have saved a bundle of dough buying from an "internet or mega seller". But I purchased "locally" because of convenience, dealer reputation and my previous experience with the dealer. That decision was validated the first (and only - so far) time I contacted them with a problem on my new Jayco. They treated me courtesy, respect, fixed my issue promptly, and genuinely expressed their appreciation for my business - how do you quantify the value of that kind of service?

I went 2500 miles each way to pick up my Seismic Wave. Saved well over 10k.
Local dealer has taken my unit in for warranty work, but is incompetent. I could write a long story on my experience, but will tell what I did instead.
I called Jayco and explained my situation. I told them that I had an independent repair shop that has done work for me before. Jayco agreed to allow them to perform warranty work as long as they preapproved the work and it was not major work.

I bought both of my Jayco campers from out of state dealers. I don't worry about the "what if it needs service". I wouldn't take it to the only local Jayco dealer for anything anyway. For what I saved, I'd gladly drive it to a dealer a little farther away if it was ever necessary... Or I'd look for an independent repair shop approved by Jayco...
