Quick info needed - How fast can we go?

We've only gone out once with our new x213 and I tried to find out the speed rating of our tires and the tires don't tell me nor does google. With working and kids all week I didn't have time to check further and now we're driving and I realized I'm not sure if we can go 110 (the speed limit on this highway). Does anyone know?

I obviously can't get tire info while we're moving but I have some pics of the sidewall from last trip. I know they are 13" tires and I'll post now and go look at my pics and update with more info.

Grand Ride Power Touring ST175/80R13 (not sure if I have the wording in correct order)

And I'll go calculate what 65 is in km.

Can we pass at higher speeds if necessary?

Crap, 104 kph? Really? Thought with our new truck we'd be able to travel the speed limit! Bah! (Our SUV manual had us going slower with hard side trailers)

I would say for very short periods, it's okay. I've done it a few times, but I really try to keep it less than 65 at most. That's the "speed rating" for standard ST tires.

KUDOS to you for asking. You just did something most RV owners don't do and then they blame the tire when it blows because they're running 75 or better and slightly to moderately overloaded.

+1. Just take a deep breath and SLOW DOWN. You'll get there when you get there, just enjoy the ride.

I live in the Prov. of Ontario Canada. I travel about 105 km on the 401 series. I'm pulling an X19H. Yes it was a little different getting use to the transports now passing us, but after my first fuel bill I was glad I was traveling at lower speeds. I'm average 21 - 22 litres per km.

Happy camping and enjoy the new trailer.

Oops sorry forget the 100 in the formula.

Averaging 22 litres per 100 km.

My TV is a 2013 Ford Flex pulling a 2014 X19H. It pulls great. We do have a weight distribution hitch and a sway bar.

ALL ST tires are rated to 65 mph. Most of those you read whinning about cheap Chinese tires have been towing faster than that (or overloaded or both).
SLOW DOWN RVing is about relaxation. Going slower means less chance of a blow out, better fuel mileage, fewer trips to the ER or morgue. Remember you are towing a house and it takes a lot longer to stop.

I keep it at 100...even though the Coq and connector has a speed limit of 110....just not worth taking any chances. I keep the tires covered during storage so the sun doesn't beat on the sidewalls too.

Just a little bit of nostalgia. The SENECAS built on the KODIAKS would top out around 75/76 since that is what the tires were speed rated at. Some owners were asking why won't it go faster and that was the reason why.

Personally I hang with some of the trucks and stay around 58/60 snd enjoy the scenery..

Ahhhh, there's nothing like getting a nice draft from a commercial tractor! It's worth a good 4 or 5 mpg if you hit it just right!

I never go over 65 mph. when towing, I would say most tires that blowout, blow because of high speed.
