Recent Ruling in Illinois supports RVers with lemons

Good news. This may put the RV industry on notice for putting out defective RVs. It may depend on the RV industry's reaction and how it is interpreted in your state.

Unfortunately, it will be cheaper for RV manufacturers to settle lawsuits against them than using quality components and materials and building the units with high standards. Nothing has changed.

That remains to be seen. They have yet to determine the dollar amount to final settlement. Plus, if this ruling and verdict set a presidence followed by other states, at least more RVers with lemons might find an easier path to resolution.

On the other hand, we could see the RV industry use their considerable lobbying influence to close this kink, state-by-state, so they can again brag about their overall effort to avoid product liability. Again, it remains to be seen. I hope RV forums will watch this unfold.
