After a recent trip where we had terrible over the air reception I saw this antenna on amazon. After reading the reviews and at a cost of $48, I decided to try it. I installed it yesterday and reran the auto scan for channels. After the scan completed we had a stronger digital signal, the scan picked up more channels. That was in our back yard.

Additionally, we are scheduled to have our local expert trouble shoot our wingard carryout Friday. Hopefully the satellite and antenna will be completely functional on our next camping trip.

We aren't campers that has to have TV when camping but we like having the availability of it. My wife has approx. 10 books in the coach on any trip available. Me, I'm not a reader and I especially enjoy tv during NASCAR and football season.

Winegard is OK with the additional wingman accessory and it is normal to turn it in the direction of the signal to increase the strength. The best is to put a KingJack head (approx. USD 50.00) on the existing antenna much better signal reception.

Put a King Jack on our TT last month and at least doubled the channels we receive. Easy install with two replacement pins, screw in the cable and it's good to go. Took about 7 minutes. Hardest part was getting off the roof. Lol
Happy RVing,
Jeff

I was wondering if there is app to pick up Canadian towers? I have parked our TT at a trailer park on Lake Huron and on a clear night we can get some Detroit stations. I was wondering if I should be using a booster or a converter box of some sort.

I found the antenna booster in the trailer, pushed it on, and I have the convertor box hooked up,(without it, there were no channels coming in, even after the scan) the TV is digital, I am now getting 14 good clear channels, thanks for all the help. Jim

No Power

Battery good, terminals hooked up the right way, good 30 amp fuse. Went to convertor box and checked the 30 amp fuses on it, they were also good. No power. When hooked to the generator everything works. When hooked to a land line everything works. Is something wrong with the convertor box? Please help!!!! Jim

Is your converter box plugged in to 110VAC? If so, it won't work without shore power or generator. Most of the 110V household type outlets don't work when only on 12V power.

Just changed out the stock Winegard ant. for a King Jack ant. Yep, just like everybody says - twice as many channels. Easy install, just pull two pins and the coax. Took about 2 minutes and bang, more channels.
