I listen to a lot of audio books nowadays. I like the old adventure stories, true crime, and modern adventure (as in the last couple of centuries!).

Tony Hillerman and Margaret Coel are two good writers. I've listened to and read all the Jules Verne, H.G. Welles, James Oliver Curwood, H. Rider Haggard et al stories I could get my hands on.

Liking history, I enjoyed O'Reilly's Killing Kennedy, Killing Jesus, Killing Patton, and Killing Lincoln. We too listen to audio books and his are done well.

Another interesting read is "Riding Rockets" by Astronaut Mike Mullane. Had the privilege of hearing him speak at a meeting and speaking with him after.

Just finished a fantastic RV-related book that I'd highly recommend ($0.00 on kindleunlimited); it is by the same author as PAY IT FORWARD! Catherine Ryan Hyde wrote TAKE ME WITH YOU Jacket synopsis: "August Shroeder, a burned-out teacher, has been sober since his nineteen-year-old son died. Every year he’s spent the summer on the road, but making it to Yellowstone this year means everything. The plan had been to travel there with his son, but now August is making the trip with Philip’s ashes instead. An unexpected twist of fate lands August with two extra passengers for his journey, two half-orphans with nowhere else to go. What none of them could have known was how transformative both the trip—and the bonds that develop between them—would prove, driving each to create a new destiny together."

"A HIGHER CALL" by Adam Makos... A true story told by 2 pilots that fought against each other, in WWll. Their battle encounter and their stories that led up to it and their post war encounter, as told by both the American Pilot and the German pilot. It is very interesting to see war from both sides in one book. By far the BEST WWll book that I have read, as I am a history nut.

A MUST READ!!! I hope they bring it out in a movie that actually follows the story line, will be a BIG hit on the screen.

I forgot to mention that I am now reading a book (Paper of course) that was just released this year called "A MATTER OF HONOR" by Anthony Summers and Robbyn Swan, about who was actually to blame for the attack on Pearl Harbor. There was a lot of research that was done for this book.

If you like these, try J.A. Jance. I've read the entire Joanna Brady series to date.

The boy is old enough that we're having fun listening to the harry potter books together. Great to see him get into stories.

I've finished up a quick read of "Good clean fun" and am a fan of Nick Offerman's tombs.

In the travel front, fnished "Almost French" and now listening to "A year of living danishly".
