Reese Revolution/Sidewinder pin box

Anyone have one, and if so, how do you lub the barring.

Manuel that came with my RV states to pack the barring once per year. I removed the HUGE retainer nut but can't get the unit to come appart to remove the barring.

Any ideas?

i have one, there is really no bearing in it, just a nylon type sleave, similar to one of those greese rings you can buy for the pin, your supposed to lube it with white lithium greese when you first put it together but as far as im concerned its a 1 time thing i dont think your supposed to pull it apart

I would call Reese as stated above . The early model before Reese bought them out you did not put grease on them . I had a fifth Airborne sidewinder for about nine years.

Carey, It does have a bearing, When you remove the BIG nut, you can see the barring, and the owners manuel instructs to pack the bearing. I can't figger out how to get the lower half to drop off. Guess I need a BIGGER hammer!!!

I was hoping another owner has some experience with the thing.

Shorty.
