Kewl, it looks a whole like a picnic corkscrew I have. But the taper of your tube said it wasn't that.

Besides the Swiss Army knife has a very effective corkscrew. Why carry two?

I use the X10 HOME AUTOMATION products on my OFF-ROAD POPUP setup..

X10 Home Automation

They have an excellent motion detector setup that runs on BATTERIES and will react with a indoor controller unit to turn on lights and things... Has a good 80 foot or so range.

I have two of these motion sensors on both sides of my popup and they turn on the patio awning lights when you walk up. They also are control by a pocket FOB unit.

I also use these inside the trailer for night lights so to speak... I have a couple of runs of the ROPE LIGHTS behind my valance curtains going around the inside of the trailer. I can controls these lights as well with the remote control unit laying by the bed...

These sensors are mounted on both sides of my POPUP trailer using velcro tape...

Also these remote control 120VAC receptacles units are handy to have in the trailer. Great for turning on /off lamps etc.. Got from local hardwarestores.

Ummm... overkill?

It'd be kinda weird to have to fire up the genset so we can have enough light to find the door to the trailer.

The X-10 system has come a long way since they came out with it in the 1970's!

LOL! DW carries the corkscrew in her purse, and a couple in the trailer, and probably one or two I could put my hands on if I needed to. I also know several ways to open a bottle without a corkscrew. Prepared? I think so!

That Swiss Army knife is one of the little bitty ones with the scissors and nail file. It's so old, I don't even remember where it came from, it's just always been there. On that note, you can now get those little Swiss Army Knives just like the one in the picture with an LED built in.

Probably could find one pretty cheap if you shop around a little... this was just the first one that popped up on a search...

I keep one of those baseball hats with battery operated led's in the edge of the bill. It's VERY bright, so when SWMBO says something to you, don't look at her with it on. It's blinding. Great for walking the dog, too.

The genuine Swiss Army Knife I carry is just shy of 30 years old. It was a gift from my (now ex-)wife when were dating. It is still in good shape and won't be replaced anytime soon.

I personally can't see any reason to keep more than 2 corkscrews on board an RV. One finds it's way to the table outside and the other gets used from the utility drawer and left on the counter. Good'nuf!

They are kind of like the flashlights in that way, they're just strewn throughout our lives so one is always at hand when it's needed. We get them for free from time to time, so they're just all over the place. Koozies are like that for us as well, we have those things EVERYWHERE. Every now and then we round them up and "cull the herd" a little when they get out of hand.
