I was thinking closer to this:
https://www.usflashlights.com/Custom...al-Flashlights

Pick up a handful of 'em next time I'm at the officious despot register and attach one each to the two sets of keys for the TT. Throw the rest in the TT's junk er..utility drawer as spares.

Just enough light so we don't trip on -or- bump into anything. And always with the keys.
My bad. StreamLight Nano:

http://www.amazon.com/Streamlight-73...reamlight+nano

Edit: We also have these ALL OVER THE PLACE.

http://www.harborfreight.com/2-piece...ght-69065.html

We buy them in 10 or 12 pks whenever we see them for a good price and keep them all over the house, all over each of our vehicles, and all over the trailer. I keep them in my tool boxes, at home and in the trailer. Most of the time they even work when I need them!

2 Piece 3-1/2 in. 9 LED Mini Flashlight

My dad has those HF scattered about the house too. There is one that sorta works in the case with my iPad.

I had found the sales listings and reviews for the StreamLight Nano when I googled for it. It is a solid piece of equipment. Just not quite what I am after.

I want something that won't be noticed in a pocket. The StreamLight is over 1/2" in diameter and about 1.5" long; that's a bit much. Something 4mm thick and tapered to a maximum width of 12mm would be ideal.

A lot of these things are programmable too. I know my Traverse has multiple delay settings - 3 or 4 I think. Could easily program a longer delay when camping, most of the time I don't use it, so have a shorter delay set.

And while folks are at it, please program your vehicle not to beep when locking/unlocking. My DSis (a tenter) drives me crazy when she puts the food or other stuff back into her car after campfire. Beep, shuffle, beep. So annoying at a CG at night. Sorry, hijacking for a rant there....

This is what I carry in that pocket every day, so the flashlight doesn't get noticed all that much for me. But I totally see where you're coming from, those little keychain lights are great.

I wont argue over what works for you. My desire is just a bit different.

But what is that yellow thing to the left in the photo?

I finally tried to install this RF remote a couple of days ago - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o02_s00

It did not work. The remote looks like it was working, but the led lights on my trailer would not do anything. I have requested a refund.

I certainly can't fault you for that! I'm interested in what you end up with; always looking for upgrades to my kit.

The yellow thing is Burt's Bees lip balm, the label is always the first thing to go when I get a new tube.

Most smartphones have flashlight apps. We have gone for late night walks using just our cell phone flashlight. They are pretty bright!

Did you ensure it was oriented properly? It matters which way you wire it; the side that says "12v" has to be wired to the 12v source, and the other end has to be wired directly to the light, you can't use a common ground with this switch since it uses PWM to dim the light. Which means you can't put it in your control center in place of the original switch. Also, how close were you to the receiver? Mine has a very short range.

All that, and it still could be a bad switch.

I am an electronics technician. The receiver was just not working at all. I mounted it outside where my lights come outside. Luckily I didn't heat the heat shrink yet. I could get my lights to come on by flipping my inside switch on, but they wouldn't do anything with the remote. I started reading a bunch of the complaints and it looks pretty common.
