Renogy Solar Panels

Hi
Has anyone added the Renogy 200 Watt Off Grid Portable Foldable Solar Panel Suitcase Built-in Kickstand with Waterproof 20A Charger Controller to their Greyhawk?
Specifically, controller wiring.
Mine is Solar ready with a pair of wires from the roof, and then there are 2 pairs of wires to the battery compartment. But, I only have 1 RV battery.
Is the 2nd pair going to the Ford battery?
Also, since the Renogy comes with a controller, do I still need to install a controller?
Thanks in advance.

The Renogy suitcase is so self contained you only need to connect to your battery. Near the front of your RV, not the rooftop ports, there should be a port. This port is generally a 10 amp maximum port but your 200 watt suitcase is fine for it. You will rarely ever see full rated amps from the solar panel. The Solar charge controller on the suitcase is all you need to use this port.

If you have solar ports on the rooftop, and you put solar panels up there, then you will have to also install a solar charge controller. But I don't think you would ever put your suitcase solar up there.

Do you have a "solar ready" port at ground level? If you do not, then I would think you don't want to use a suitcase setup.

If the only "solar ready" port is on the roof then you're better off installing permanent panels on the roof and a solar charge controller wherever the factory set it up for you.

My Renogy suitcase came with multiple types of cables to connect to the output side of the controller. One option is the alligator clips, these can be used to attach directly to the + and - posts of a battery.

On my "solar ready" rig, the pre-run wires from the roof only go to the house battery, not the chassis or Ford battery.
