Replace 26 RLS Outdoor Speakers?

We have a 28dsbh and a 26rls, both with outdoor speakers. The dsbh speakers are larger and sound much better then the RLS. The RLS speakers are also a lot smaller.

Is there an outdoor speaker that will replace my stock ones?

Anyone?

We really can't play the indoor speakers and the outdoor speakers at the same time because the inside speakers have to be blaring in order to get the outdoor speakers loud enough to be heard from a few feet.

I have a 24FBS and I suspect you and I have the same outdoor speakers. I'm going to get our trailer ready for a trip tomorrow, and one of the things I plan to do is pop the cover off and measure the stock speakers. I plan to replace mine as well so after I do some homework I'll be sure to post more info.

Hey Big Mike. How's your 26RLS tow with the 150? We have a 2013 26RLS towed by a 2013 Ram 1500 and it's great. We are usually at Smith Point but from time to time are at Hither Hills, Wildwood and Indian Island.

As for the subject of this post, the 26RLS has speakers that are like these.

My brother's White Hawk has speakers like this. The speakers are much larger AND louder.

Sorry for the delay in updating this post, and unfortunately I haven't much to report. cm11599ps is correct in the type of speaker. I tried popping the cover off but didn't have any luck. There's a small slot on the front of the speaker grille that looks like you could slide a flat-blade screwdriver in and pop the cover off. When I tried this, the plastic bent outward above the slot, but nothing else moved. Felt like if I gave it any more it would break. I tried for a few minutes, but it was 106* outside and I gave up in favor of a cold beverage and time to regroup. I'm going to try again this weekend; I'll definitely post up any progress I make. You would think it's so simple . . .

On our toyhauler we just sold I learned a few things by visitng forums. The covers just popped off on that unit but not sure on your TT how it is done. I learned that the space in which the speakers mount can be of varying depths. Mine happened to be very shallow so many of the stock marine grade speakers would not work. I was able to take them off, find exact replacements on Amazon. So, once you are to pull the old ones, look them up based on the speaker model and get their specs, then you can start shopping for better ones. I'm puzzled why they are so much quieter on the outside. It would prompt me to get a temp speaker and plug it in on the ouside connection just to be certain that it's not a wiring issue that is causing less signal to be sent there vs. a poor original speaker.
