Replacement Keys

Can anyone give me some advice on how to get replacement keys for my 2004 Jayco Designer fifth wheel?

I purchased a used 5er this summer and the keys I was given were not for the trailer I purchased. I have since contacted the previous owner and he can not locate the correct keys.

Problem now is that I am putting my 5er into storage and I really want to lock it up.

Is there an easy solution to my problem? Can someone please advise me?

Call Jayco with your VIN and they should be able to fix you right up.

I got keys made by these guys... (from a post on here last year) way less than dealer keys and very good to work with..

We had a key that got stuck in the door lock. Never got it to come out and wound up replacing the entire lock. It was more $$ than a replacement key but I was pretty much over a barrel. It's an option for you.

Remove the door handle cover from the inside of the door. On my door latch it tells me the manufactures name (Bauer) and the key number. From that you should be able to order a new key(s) online.

Most places that cut keys can do the job. My Jayco dealer made extra for me.

The replacement key thread is now a sticky in the tech talk forum. No room for it on the General Jayco chat first page.

Instead of dealer i would suggest to call a locksmith.. they are way cheaper than dealer and also they will do it in a very short time.. or a key online, like for instance one bought form ebay.. have a look at this forum here. i was just reading some interesting advices here as well http://www.carkeyadvice.com/forum/sh...eplacement-key

Replacement key.

Can someone tell me how to find a key for the rear door on my toyhauler? I have the code for the side door but the key isn’t the same for the rear door locks.

I replaced both front and rear door locks with these on the previous toyhauler. It was more than worth the money.

The key or key cylinder on your lock almost always would have a key code. I found the best selection of RV door keys at https://highskyrvparts.com/rv-parts/hardware/door-keys

Welcome to the forum! I took my original key ( gray ) to a locksmiths shop. They had the Bauer key blanks in stock. Had them cut me two at $3.50 each.

Call Bauer directly. I would have ordered the wrong keys if I hadn't talked with them. Very good people to deal with, and the price for replacement keys is reasonable. 866.682.2837
