Replacement Tires

Hello to everyone, and we need some help once again.
We have decided to replace the tires on our 2017 29RKS. They are
St 225/75R15, and our unit weights about 6700 dry.

Looking for suggestions on brand and model? And sidewall recommendations

Thanks as always

Tom and Kathy

Goodyear Endurance tires are new so no long term data yet, but several of us have them. I have about 5,000mi on ours so far and I am very pleased so far.

I went to simpletire.com found the tires i wanted. I went with a load D I was replacing C rated. I contacted the local tire store (Discount tire) and they matched the price but just used their brand tires instead I forget the brand right now but have had a few trips with them and have no complaints. Not really a tire recommendation but a money saver for sure! Only paid $40/tire

I went with Maxxis and am very happy. I upgraded to load range E and feel much better about my tow experience. I sold my stock Raniers on Craigslist to offset the cost. Recovers almost half the cost of the new tires...

Love my new Goodyear Endurance tires, upgraded from load C to E, max load 2833# each at 80psi for ST225/75R15. Discount tire had them at $110 each.

We have Endurance tires. Second for me would be Maxxis. And I try to go up a load rating if I can.

Started looking around today. Went to 3 different stores. Kal tire, want to sell me carlisle brand tires 820.00 for 5 tires installed not sure about the brand. Asked about sailun but apparently they don't make a 205/75r 15. Canadian tire...useless gave me a piece of paper only tire they carried was also a carlisle but do not stock. Was told to go to rv dealer for tires. Costco.. said they only sold a winter tire in that size...lol ok. Saga continues. Will keep you posted. Any reviews on carlisle?

One quote
You are right the top option is Maxxis for your tire size in a load range D $125/tire

We can also recommend the Voracio STR load range D $105/tire

Second quote
Goodyear Assurance 8 ply $175 each

Carlisle HD 8ply $135 each

These Prices include the install with valve stem replacement.

Only thing on top is the government adf and taxes.

Leaning towards the maxxis

Will your rims accept 225/75-15 tires?

not quite sure. From what I have read tire needs to be off of rim to check. There is a minimum bead to bead measurement. Also need to check and see what the rims are rated for. May need new rims to make the load range upgrade worth while.

Given the prices of tires at the smaller size it might be worth it to buy new rims just cause the tires will be that much cheaper.

Might be worth looking into. Don't forget though I am in Canada and we usually pay a bit more especially now with our dollar being a little weak vs us dollar. I think we are about .78 on the buck .so 20 to 25 bucks each difference would not suprise me.

If you're referring to the Carlisle Radial Trail RH or the new(er) HD models, while they are made across the pond in China, myself and many others have had great results from the them. Yes, the older models had some issues, but Carlisle has straightened things out. I haven't read of any more issues with the new Carlisles than what I have about Maxxis issues.

If available, another tire to consider is the new Goodyear trailer tire (model escapes me at the moment!!!) that is made in the US. This tire and the Carlisle are both speed rated higher than 65mph. To me, having more of a "cushion" between traveled speed and the speed rating is a good thing. Just like stepping up a load range for more reserve capacity.

Good luck tiring shopping!!! I know it's one of the things I hate to do myself.

I got my Goodyear Endurance tires for $121 (before install).

Their speed rating is 87mph. Maxxis says theirs are rated for 75 (?) but they cannot label them due to US import rules.

We had to get tires in Hinton AB. Not much shopping to be done. All they had was Carlisles.
Had em on four weeks. Our mileage went up almost 1 mpg.
Ride is better even on frost heaved
