Required National Passes for X-county trip

In Sep. my bride and I will depart Lower Alabama for a roundabout road trip to LA, CALIF and return (visiting my ageing mother). We've decided for the most road flexibility we'll leave the fifth wheel behind.

My bride has only seen the western USA from 35K feet, and this is on her bucket list; we're very flexible, allowing 4- 5 weeks to enjoy it all. So far she's mapped out a circuitous route of 5600 miles.

NOW the tight-wad in me suggests if there are any passes that provide discounts then I want in. I do have the America the Beautiful, Nat'l Parks and Fed Rec Land "Senior Pass"/ now that is a mouthful.

Curious as to if there are any others passes that I should look into.

Thank you y'all.

The America the Beautiful Pass will come in handy in the southwest and west. We just returned from a similar trip and used ours at Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, Sequoia Nat'l Park and Yosemite. What parks wee you wanting to visit?

Those passes should be all you need for the Federal Parks.

"What parks wee you wanting to visit?"

The ones that make my bride happy. Believe it or not ... she has two upcoming trips before this Sept trip: later this month thru early July - a road trip to Maine and back; followed by a cruise to Alaska in August.

Flying to Washington to pick up her cruise means she'll once again see the far west - again from 35K feet.

Guess which trip has her the most excited? The one she's never actually seen up close.
