My 16" rims are rated for 120 psi and so are my Goodyear G614's. Does that mean I can inflate my tires to 120 psi?

Unless they aren't.

My rims are rated for 110 psi and I run my G614's at 100 psi. The have heated up to over 110 psi on occasion but I have not had any problems with tires or rims in a good many years.

4 614's running at 120 psi is 18600 lbs. Your Pinnacle is not even close to that weight and running at 120 psi is just going to wear out the center of tire tread

I was thinking about running them between 100 & 110. I'm at 17,500 lbs.

Yes you will be safe! Tires and rims are designed to get warm during use. The temps listed are cold pressure.

Now the question, how heavy is your 5ver? Should you run at max pressure? Normally I would say always run a TT tire at max sidewall pressure. 120 psi, sounds very high, wonder how many people have a compressor that can even go that high. Personally, I would run over a CAT scale and capture your scaled weight. Then review Goodyear's weight verses pressure chart.

There is nothing wrong with running max pressure, but at a 120 psi, that is like driving on solid wheels, not much flex, so whatever bounce the suspension is not absorbing is transferred into the camper.

I've always ran my RV tires at max psi and have never had an issue in the 30 something years I've been towing. The cold psi on the sidewall is just that...cold. The manufacturer knows very well that the tire temperature will increase with travel, as well as the psi. That's why they list cold temps only. I drove from Maryland to North Carolina with my 5'er pressures @ max. this past June. When we stopped for a potty break, I looked at the tires. Temps on the outside of the tire were high but the psi only increased by 9 psi per tire on average. My opinion is, the listed max's advertised on the wheel and tire are NOT their genuine max psi's. For wear maybe, but not for failure. My tires are wearing fine with no cupping or edge wear. Underinflated tires are more dangerous than overinflated.

I had the 5er weighed wheel by wheel not too long ago.

Driver Front: 3,600
Driver Rear: 3,850
Passenger Front: 2,950
Passenger Rear: 3,100

Pin Weight: 4,050

I'm going to try 105 psi and see how it does.
