Rock guard for under $40.00
I can't take credit for the original ideas but I really liked the idea, so I built one myself. Some 3/4 schedule 40 pipe, 1/4" wire screen, and optional paint. The one I saw was on a Ford pickup, so the center bracket was a little different. The one for the Ford had a brace bracket that attached to the center of the grill. I fashioned a bracket to attach to the hood bracket in the center of the hood. I use zip ties to secure the Rock guard. I guess other things could be used as well to secure the guard to the vehicle. Anyway, I'm happy with the way the thing turned out.
