Rock Tamers, Towtector or??

Hi all,
Looking for opinions before we buy.
Which ones are you happy or unhappy with.
Have many other projects on the go so buying these are better option than building.
Searched the forum and got bites of info so thought I would throw this out there..
Thanks for participating.
Cheers

I have the Rock Tamers and am very happy with them. I've had them for a few years, but IIRC it took about an hour to put them together out of the box.

rocktamers

i have the rock tamers purchased from amazon. i bought them because i drilled the front of our 5th wheel with a rock really well(we do a lot of dirt roads) and did not need another blemish on the front of it. they are working well and very pleased with them. they look ok on the back of the truck and i keep them on year round. they also protect the front of our little trailer also which has a painted front surface.

We did towpro from princess auto
Hanging in the shed waiting on our first outing. We live on gravel road. Fibreglass and gravel are a bad mix.

I just put the rock tamers on and like them. A lot of adjustments available in the product to tailor to your setup. I leave them on the hitch and take the whole setup off when not towing. Assembly was about am hour, which is more than I expected.

I went with Dura Flaps as I didn’t want to mess around with using a hitch mount. Also opted for the long version for a bit more protection.

Really liking the Rockstar setup..great coverage with the 2XL version but wow..pricey for us Canadians..
Cheaper than holes in the 5'r though..

Price was also one of the reasons I ordered Rocktamers from Costco and it was shipped right to my door within 2 days. The Rocktamers mount nicely on the Propride stinger so it can all be removed as one unit when not towing.

Look at the spec's of the brands your looking at before making the decision. I am big on saving money and we are also believers in the old adage "you get what you pay for". I chose the Rockstar 2XL because it has 1/2" thick rubber and most others were 1/4" thick. It also covers wider than most others. I have seen many of the others sail as they go down the road at 60mph and then the rocks go right underneath and hit the RV. I have noticed that some now have metal bars to add support and that looks like it should help with the sailing.

I appreciate the input but 468 views and only 14 replies. Wow, I would have thought that more people ran removable hitch flaps.
We have beat the heck outta 2 other 5rs, 2 bumper pulls and a utility trailer before deciding to go this route.
What are y'all using?
Cheers
