Avoid I 95 from north of Baltmore to south of Richmond fom About 2 pm until after 7 pm especially if towing a trailer. As many have said use 13 down the Eastern Shore and pick up 17 into South Caroline. Maybe a longer trip but all it takes is one fender bender on I95 to slow things down for miles and hours. Good luck n your trip.

Hey bud, come down to rt 78. Take 78west to 81 south to exit 70 for 83 s. Follow signs to rt 15 south down toward Frederick md. Then follow to 270 s. To 495 to 95. All you have is to at 78 or if your closer to 80 take 33 to 78. You avoid all the turnpike tolls and Baltimore traffic and tolls there also. You will save a lot of time and no bad hills
