Route for best Michigan roads

We are heading to Ludington Mi. from Ohio. Considering US23/I96/US31 route vs Indiana TP/I69/I94/US131/I96/US31 route. Any thoughts on which route would beat up our Pinnacle less would be appreciated.
Thanks
Bill

Pick up a motor carriers atlas. It'll give you the best path for a big rig. Truckers use this to avoid low overpasses, restricted roads and so on. Myself, I'd stick to the Interstates.
