RV Covers

Hi there,

Do RV Covers really work? Are there better ones than others? Does paying more mean better?

I'm noticing our 2017 decals are fading on the sunset side so if you have any tips to bring them back to life I will take those too. Thanks.

Covers are a personal choice. I have covered all my RV's but many others have not. I look at it as protecting my investment. I buy decent quality covers by ADCO and have never had a problem. I am covering mine for the last time this winter however because by next season I expect to have a metal carport structure in place as I am getting older and the process to cover my camper is getting more difficult for me.

I always cover. Here in NW Montana the winters can be pretty extreme. I used ADCO for many years but found they just weren't sturdy enough. After two years I was having to replace them. Last year I switched to Goldline from National Covers. Much heavier fabric but seems to be holding up better.

Thank you LuckyDuck. I did a search for "RV Covers" prior to posting for RV Covers, but nothing of value came up. I appreciate you linking those for me.

No problem. As for covers, I’ve been very happy with our Elements All Climate cover from CW. It wasn’t terribly expensive on sale and it has held up well. Air circulates through it and no mildew. I haven’t used it much for summer, though, as we are usually out camping.

I've always covered our trailer during the off season. We've gotten four years out of each cover before it starts to really breakdown and rip apart. For me I like cleaning the rig as part of my winterizing process, covering it in September and taking the cover off in April to have a clean RV that hasn't accumulated a bunch of leaves, bird droppings, dirt and dust from months of being out in the elements. We've never had any issues with damage to th e finish or mold/mildew (we use a breathable cover).
