Keep your old hose for a backup! These things don't hold up very well especially in heavy use like RV's. The ends tend to separate and leak. Read the reviews...not worth the money seems to be the verdict.

Liked the one I had till it erupted. Seems could not leave it charged long without relieving pressure. Might not be good idea for main supply to RV.

That looks like a much better solution!

I bought and used the 25' zero hose one time so far and very impressed. Seems well constructed and worked fine. Ever had one of the white ones in a cold climate get really stiff and hard to put away? This hose deflated and was no problem in handling and storage. Very pliable and easy to use and store. Instead of a big coil of hose, I had a small handful that fit in a small bucket (about the size of the original package).

From what I'm reading here, I hope it lasts awhile as everything else about it is a definite upgrade over the white hose.

So you say. Those regular hoses can affect your eyesight, hearing, and cause hair loss over time.

I bought a ZeroG hose and returned it the next day. The hose had a strong chemical smell I wasn't comfortable about. I bought a white RV coil hose off Amazon which will arrive next week.

Amen! I fill up at home with a regular hose. A really old one at that. I find the drinking hoses to be of crap quality anyway. I had to change several ends last week just to keep them from leaking.

That said I do want to pickup a couple expandable hoses for the camper. I have limited storage Space and a lot of hose.

I did too but what I have read the hazard has come from the brass fittings that are made in China having high lead content.

Has anybody tried the Flexzilla hose? They are light, kink free, coil real nice and drinking water safe as they use aluminum fittings. I use their air hoses and they are awesome.

I second the Flexzilla air lines and I use their water hoses at home but haven't brought one on the road for the RV. I tried the expandable hose variety but couldn't get enough water flow in my camper.

Back in the day, those expandable hoses were just latex surgical tubing inside a pretty looking nylon sleeve. Is that still how they're made?

That stinks. You'd think they could come up with something better over the course of 30 years!!

Well my luck just ran out today on my original “as seen on tv” expandable hose. I’ve had it for 8 years (I think...could be 9 now). While cleaning up all our beach stuff the hose burst at one end. The “new” hose supplying water to to RV seems to be doing good. So in my opinion 8/9 years out of a hose is pretty typical. We’ll see how the new one does...after all it is “new and improved...” right??

Dan

Your old hose probably saw the new and improved hose sitting next to it and decided it was time. Had you not bought the new one, your old hose would probably still be going strong! LOL!!

I don't drink from the hose on a regular basis now, but it's nothing unusual for me to have a "slurp" if the hose is handy when it's hot outside.

I used one of the cheapo slinky hoses for the BT flush connection but the darn male end of the hose got stuck on the BT flush connection this past trip and could not get it free. Took a pocket knife and cut the hose off as I was "tired" of messing with it, took one swipe with the pocket knife to cut the protective cover and the thin inner lining. Took me 5 minutes with some channel locks to get the "darn" end out of the BT connection after I got home. Cheap plastic threads.
