Rv gps

Does anyone have any experience with a GPS system specifically geared for RV's, such as the Good Sam one? I've never been concerned about low clearances, but I'm worrying now.

Any other trip planning resources you would like to share?

I have been researching RV GPS's for some time now and have narrowed my search down to the Garmin 760LMT. Seems like it has the best reviews out of all the RV ones. I'm just not sure that I am going to like the 7" screen as that seems pretty large to sit on the dash. Amazon has it on sale now but I have seen them post a lower price a few months ago than what is listed now.

That one is pretty cool. It also has an optional Backup camera integration.

I have the Garmin 760LMT and am very happy with it. I thought the 7" screen would be too big too, but with the way I have it mounted on my dash it doesn't block my view of the road at all and the big screen is easy to see. IMHO the only drawback is the Garmin trip planning software as it's not the easiest to use.

Just received the 760LMT today and going to start playing with it now, so I cant tell you much about it yet. So far I like what I see. I drove home with it on the dash in place of my usual smaller Garmin, and at first it looked like my living room TV, but you get used to it quick; it is really not that bad on the dash.

So does the thing reroute you around low clearance routes and give you rv friendly gas stations and such? I'd love to know when I'm on route to a new area where I can easily get gas. More than once I've been in a tight spot with the popup, never mind a full size TT.

yeah I am planning on getting one as I pull a car trailer too and I hate to get into low clearances ... a few weeks ago I follow the directions on my regular one and it had me on roads I wouldn't want to be on in a car much less my truck with a car hauler behind it ... until I get one I will plan my routes from now on
