Rv quality

why is anyone buying a new RV these days. The quality they are putting out is criminal. I was looking for a new 5th wheel and got talking with a mechanic in service. He said they are spending 2 to 4 days on average fixing things that don't work right from the factory before they can deliver to a customer. Stop buying it's the only way to fix this

The dealers buy the rigs and then resell them to customers.

Take your gripe to the dealers. If they quit buying manufacturers can’t sell.

My local dealer quit buying and selling Fleetwood because of the crap being delivered and lack of warranty support. The dealer was bought by Camping World and they are once again selling the Fleetwood line.

We rebuilt our hybrid because we know all new trailers are having problems. COVID hit our rv mfg. hard. We are waiting to see if Covid goes away. We want to go from Pa. to Alaska and back. If the virus keeps getting worse we will sell our hybrid and give up Rv lifestyle. We have been pulling rv’s since 1974.

Last year we had an issue with our trailer while in Iowa. Took it to a large RV dealership that turned out to be very helpful and honest. Got us on the road with a temporary fix until we could get to a Jayco dealer for parts. Refused to take any money. We tried to slip some cash to the receptionist to give to the service guys, but the owner caught us, and refused it again. lol
Anyway, While talking to to the owner, who wouldn't say anything bad about anyone, why they didn't carry Jayco. He said they used to, but had to drop them due to service/parts issues.
