RV tidbits?

We met a couple here yesterday at the KOA at Natural Bridge, VA. They have a 2022 35' Solitude S 5th wheel, and we struck a conversation with them. Before long we were given a tour, very nice unit to say the least. What stuck in my mind talking to them was how much they liked their dealership in PA. They get first class service, sometimes they bring it in and wait on it. He said they are sticklers for appointments and getting it fixed quickly. The dealership is Stoltzfus RV and Marine in Westchester. The camper looked new, very clean other than bugs on the front cap. He said he had washed it once in two years, other than removing bugs from the front cap. he saw the look on my face and said that they had applied some sort of coating to the camper. I have never heard of this, but it sure looked nice. Also, he mentioned he had a lifetime warranty through this dealer, and he didn't have to pay for it. he saw that look in my face again lol, and explained that the salespeople there all throw in a small portion of their commission in a kitty for warranty claims. The kicker is that you have to bring it in for a $179 yearly checkup, so this works if you are reasonably close to them. it sure sounds reasonable, shame we live multiple states away.

My dealer gave us some kind of warranty for life based on a yearly roof inspection. Took that with a grain of salt. Then they tried to sell me an extended warranty. What? Passed on that as well.

I’d love a Solitude, but that would mean more truck too. When I purchased my unit, all I got was a Mini Green Egg grill and some Artic cups. That grill is way to heavy to be portable. My dealer has revamped how they do service and often it’s a 2-3 day turn around unless it’s something you can wait on. They’re very specific with appointment times to the half hour.

I’d like to know what coating is.
