Rvq ii gas grill
I read the comments about the" lack of heat" from the RVQ gas grill, has anyone used the RVQ II and had the same complaint. Looks like a good unit.

Unless you have used a propane grill before they all take a bit getting used to. They do not grill worth beans with the lid up.

not used that exact model, but yes...lid down and a good preheat. I have even resorted to putting aluminum foil over the food to trap the heat when it is windy or cold.
That RVQ looks neat, but I am curious if any of you use a grill like this attached to the camper? I like my awning out and with this setup, you would have to leave it in.

Why would you have to leave your awning in? I have cooked under mine with my RVQ since 2004... and have used it on the new camper I got last year... no harm from that to the awning yet...

mmm..ok...I would have been concerned that the greasy smoke would get up there on the awning and make it nasty. So that has not been a problem?

We considered the rvq grill that attaches to your tt, but passed on it. I wish we had a grill that has a lid to cover it while cooking. Currently we have a COleman's Camper propane Grill. Unfortunately something neither of us considered when buying it, the lid only folds down for closing, so we have to put aluminum foil over what ever we are bbq'ing so the food cooks faster We don't have a lot of room for storage, so we have to keep the grill small. We are in the market for a new grill

Could be...lol....I just pictured that big puff of greasy smoke when you open a grill going up and sitting under the awing and collecting over time...I have never cooked under the awning, but sounds like from you all that that is not the case. Thanks for the insight...
