Satellite Dish Anchoring?

I have a new tripod DirecTV dish set-up not yet tried.
Somewhat worried about the anchoring and stability of the dish in winds, etc.

Any ideas from other users of same that make the set-up no more difficult, but give peace of mind as to the dish stability?

Plywood base, steel base, whatever?

I have a 5 gallon bucket that I tie to the center of the tripod just slightly off of the ground and fill it with water. Works like a champ. A 3 gallon bucket would probably be ok too. Just make sure you spread the tripod legs out relatively wide to give it more stability. Never lost mine yet.

Ratchet strap and dog screw stake.
