Sealant repair time limit

After my last experience with having my cap damaged at my selling dealer I took my FW to another for warranty work. I have four spots on roof seams that need to be resealed. I was told all my issues were covered under the two year warranty but not the roof sealant it is only 90 days. Am I being blown smoke or is that a Jayco fact?

That sounds like bull, but I have no personal experience with taking it in for warranty work for this item.
But if what you were told were true, we'd all be resealing every 3 months.

It should be spelled out somewhere in your warranty document.

They should seal it as a good faith gesture.. re-sealing with the Dicor is not that difficult.
That being said, sealant and/or resealing is defined as a maintenance item, so I wouldn't be surprised if Jayco won't pay for resealing.
I don't understand why a 2016 would require re-sealing so soon. Are the four spots related in any way to the cap work the selling dealer performed?

If it were mine ( from what I know) I wouldn't take it in for that I would DIY then I know it's done right!

Three spots are on the vent screws and one screw has backed way out, two on the rear cap seam. Two were previously fixed by selling dealer (noted on pdi ). Three thousand mile trip and the flexing from all those highways appear to be the cause . I found three spots and temporary coated with silicone while dry camping for two months. Have not been on roof since return trip and at the dealer noticed it while going over my list of warranty repairs. Since it will be at dealer for a while I told them to go ahead and spot seal. If I had known I would of ordered sealant and repaired before dropping for warranty work. This is not my selling dealer but another who did my insurance claim work from damage cap at selling dealer. They did a great paint job and said at the time can do Jayco warranty work. Selling dealer did a crap paint repair and i filed a claim for collision. And thanks progressive for recouping my deductible from the dealer who did the damage.

It's pretty clearly spelled out in my documentation package that seams and seals are warrantied for 90 days. They are considered a maintanence item. The dealership is not blowing smoke.

Just looked in my 2016 Pinnacle book. In non covered items sealant is listed under wear and tear which I missed. I did not see 90 days but either way it is on my dime. Since my unit is only 8 months old guess I need to do a roof inspection every trip or two months.
