We had a similar experience while camping. She tried to jump from the back of the booth to the bed, fell and broke her femur. Emergency vet and surgery with plate and screws. Eight weeks of no activity has nearly driven us all crazy! Had to cancel two planned camping trips. Her final x-rays are Thursday. We made it and she is using the leg as normal.
Glad to hear your pup is doing well. Ours is still hobbling quite a bit, but getting better slowly. We haven't even started thinking about planning any more trips. Have $4000 in vet bills to pay for first.
