Put a huge dog water bowl outside the steps, then add a "beware of dog" sign.

We've got an old, well-chewed, heavy-duty dog leash we drape on the outside grab bar in addition to an outside water dish.

(No sign but the message = Big dog inside, likes to chew and is not on a leash. )

Layered security

Unfortunately, my 23RL will have to be stored on the side of my house with easy access from the street. Realizing that 100% security is nigh on to impossible, I am going to use a multi-layed approach to deter theft of the trailer and break ins. I will use a good coupler lock. I will remove the fuse from the tongue jack. I will keep the stabilizer jacks down. I will use a battery operated motion alarm inside the trailer. I will mount a faux security system warning light on the outside of the trailer so that the flashing red light is visible from the street. The tires will be covered. I have installed motion activated security lighting around the trailer. The spare, batteries and propane tanks will be cable locked. Realizing that no one of these measures would give me the peace of mind I seek, my hope is that taken together, my trailer will be just too much trouble for someone looking for a quick heist.
One item I would like to add is some type of vibration alarm that would go off if someone was up messing around with the tongue. Any suggestions?

Here is a SECURITY PACKAGE designed for RV's. It will automatically contact you and you can even log into the base unit and check the status or your RV (battery, temp....)

How will RV Command protect my RV?
RV Command will help you protect your RV against:
Unauthorized entry
Low battery voltage
GPS tracking
Geofence
Low or high interior temperatures
Unintended shore power disconnections

RV Command will instantly alert you the moment an event happens with your RV!

All you need to do is hide the base unit, connect it to your battery and wait for the test message.

If you are concerned about your RV, this may even let you sleep at night

I would add a small SOLAR panel to power it and keep the batteries topped off.

Perhaps also consider a tire boot lock (our local police department uses them on their trailers) and check out https://batteryshackle.com/
