Seneca cabin door faulty latch system.

I own a 2015 Seneca. The side cabin door will come open while in transit if the bolt is not in lock position. I know we should always use the bolt when traveling, but we sometimes forget, and the door will come open. I have examined other manufactures door locks, and most are well built. They are heavy with double locks with easy open handles. Are their any Seneca owners having this problem?

Not us and I assume you have the Bauer EM lock set with touch pad entry. Sounds like you may have misaligned or improper strike plate. Go to Bauer's website and download the installation manual for the EM and read about possible adjustments. The only problem we have had with the Bauer is that it eats batteries and I haven't had a chance to replace it with the upgraded lockset. Hope this helps.

We have a 2015 FK and have had our entry lock replaced about a year ago for a different issue, but nothing like what you describe.

I also had mine replaced soon after I bought it (new). My door shuts, and latches with ease. My batteries last no time at all, so we don't bother with the key pad. I may give Bauer a call, see if they have any ideas. I just thought someone may be having the same problem.
