Question- does anyone have a system they use to keep the sewer elbow from popping out of an oversized inlet??? Even with a donut, my elbow popped out of a 6” inlet at a dump station. There was no pipe extension from the inlet, just a hole with a metal flip lid. The elbow came out when I opened the release valve and I had to quickly close valve and clean up. Then I had my son put his foot on the elbow to keep it from popping out again. Thanks for any tips!

I use one of these over the end of the hose and elbow: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01MA...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks for the tip about the sandbags! I ordered the 4-pack already, and this also solves another issue: what to use to hold down my canopy shade cloth when I'm on asphalt or cement. I have stakes for soft ground, but there are times when I need use my shade and all that is available is the hard parking surface. With the straps and D-rings I can use the sandbags to attach to the grommets on my shade cloth. Nice!

and NOW you see WHY there is often a concrete block or big ROCK close to the drain hole? I did recently see online, (never seen before, maybe CAMCO?) a plastic harness w/ velcro (??) to strap the elbow down and prevent it jumping out?

We use these when we need to. The DW didn't think fondly of stepping on the end while I pulled the valve (from a safe distance).

The other way is to open the dump valve slowly, until it gets flowing. That keeps the end from leaping out. (Most of the time).

I don't like having a loose drain fitting.
I've tried those fat hard-rubber donuts. I really don't get the point of them. I haven't seen a sewer pipe that they fit in- they just sit on the top loose, and you still need to weigh it down.
Then I found this one- If the screw fitting doesn't work use this type- this one has different size threads, inside and out. It's soft rubber, so it wedges in place. 100% problem solved.

This is what gave me the idea of the sand bags….

We always use the donut. Keeps the Oder down around rig and they are pretty fast and easy to push in. Screw fitting does not often point in correct position when I hooked up and got tired of adjusting. Got mine for free years ago when previous site user left it stuck in pipe. Safe travels

Enjoy the journey
