Sewr Hose Question/Issue

we bought a sewer hose when we got the camper...but the problem is is that it will not fit in the storage area designed for the hose....there is a tubular area on the back of the camper and the diameter of the hose fitting is too big....

any recommendation for hose we can get....only one i have found that fits is really cheap...

I had the same problem.
I just put my Rhino hose in a garbage bag and place in the storage area.
Some people have been able to grind off some ears, but that may be for the 4" square bumper.

The new RhinoFlex fit the 4" Bumper (including the lock connection and 90 degree ends)....like a glove. Is it some other brand?

We use a rubbermaid container with lid and bungee strapped over for good measure. We then haul in bed of truck. We want no where near TT's storage compartments! We keep our hot dog/marshmallow skewers and fire poker in the rear bumper.

A few members have built bigger holders that they strap to the bumper. I believe it is made of square pvc downspout material and allows more room. If you search the forum you should be able to find a picture.

Agree with the above Try using a dremel and shave down the plastic "ears" on the hose fittings. Worked for me and the fittings still work fine.

Our 25Z has a round tube, but the outer end has a box that will take the end fitting. So the hose and camper end store there. We use the Valtera fitting that screws into the hose for the sewer end and just remove it when we pack up. I keep the loose fittings in a plastic box with lid. On our previous camper, we had to remove both end fittings to store the hoses.

Our problem with the 25Z is it's low height. The drain goes straight down instead of turning out vertically. Sometimes difficult to have the hose bend to fit on the expandable ramp and at times, the sewer fitting winds up being uphill from the drain. On the other hand, the lower height makes for lower wind resistance and the TT tows exceptionally well. No sway at all even when the big trucks pass us.

I bought a 5" square plastic fence post from Home Depot. It matches the trailer. Also bought the matching caps. I had some plastic rain gutter that I put the sewer hose in. The gutter slides into the fence post perfectly. Thanks to the above poster I will now use the bumper to hold the hot dog sticks and the fire poker.
