Shed Options

Wife and I just purchased a Jayco 38FDDS. We will be living in it full time for an undetermined amount of time (years). We won't be moving it, and it's surrounded by Redwood Trees, so it needs to be covered. In the Bay Area, CA so weather isn't an issue.

Thoughts on best product to purchase that will last?

We are totally new to this so all suggestions are greatly appreciates.

Thanks,
Contra

Scroll to the bottom of this link for an RV Cover:

A few friends have these. You could even buy a spare awning and mount it on the outside of the supports!

I have seen a lot of steel roof carports with no walls. Lots of places sell them but look here for ideas. https://www.carport.com/building-styles/rv/page/3/ not a recomendation but just a place I saw. Lots of places will install them in wood frame or pipe frame.

I have one for my rv and another for the truck. Mine are like the picture #1 but if I had to do it again, I would get the one on the right #2 because it has more of a drip edge. I had to raise mine high enough to clear my rig's height of 12.5' in the center. We also had a concrete slab poured and anchored it to the concrete. Ours is 18 x 36 to allow for all slide outs to be out all the time if needed. Our current rig is 38' but we are living with for over 10 years.

It was a great investment because it keeps sun off the rig and really helps preserve the roof.

Check with your local authorities if you have any codes to meet or permits to get approved if applicable.
