Shore power upgrade

Who has upgraded their shore power from the hardwired cord (with the pest entry door) to the plug-in style? I know there's one that fits the existing hole in the RV but I can't seem to find the post that linked the product. May have been posted in another forum. Images below. I want to be sure I buy what will fit. Thanks.

The one I ordered was from amazon;

One of the round mounting plates will line up with the existing screw holes. At least it did on mine.

The link that NYMarty posted is the same kit I used on mine and should fit yours as well. It's a nice mod and I don't miss rapping my knuckles every time I stow the cord......

Marinco kit includes all you need, maybe more if you aren't converting your oem shore cord to a twist lock.

Ok, I’ll be the one to ask the question (and possibly learn something in the process).

Shawn, why would you want to do this? It seems like the interior storage compartment works well.

The reasons I've read is that people don't like...

- shoving a dirty cord back in the camper (and I guess not wanting to wipe it off like I do)
- eliminating an access for bugs to enter
- eliminating a path for mice to crawl up and into
- some complain that they smack their knuckles on the camper when trying to shove the cord back
- finding out their cord is frayed when they pull it out at the campsite (for those who may not check at home before departure)

I've considered this mod after tearing into the box inside the camper where it stores the cord when I installed my Progressive Industries EMS. It looked like it would offer additional interior storage space. However, I would now have to create room to store the "new" exterior cord that the mod would need.

I'm curious as well. Seems to me this just makes the cord something else I have to find space for in the storage compartment.

I upgraded to the Marinco kit to convert my shore power cord. I just like the idea of not having to force feed that cord back into the storage box. Also, sometimes, the cord, especially if it's cold can get tangled inside the storage box. I had this happen on an older trailer. Only about 1/3 of the cord would come out. Had to take off the outside fitting, so I could reach in and untangle the cord.

As for storage, it goes up front where the shore power extension cord is, and where the fresh water hose is.
