Because this thread is getting such a good response, I asked to have the title changed to include flags from all over the world!

Keep 'em coming!

It's been so long without rain here that I broke the pole putting it in the ground on Friday. I'll have to try again to get a picture in 2 weeks when we go out again. I do have one flying at home all the time.

I just ordered the stuff to have a flag on my trailer. I have a 17 foot pole that can hold 2 flags, with 3 flags to place 2 of the 3 on it. I am waiting for the hitch mounted holder. I will get a photo of it once we are camping again.

The flags I have gotten are
The Stars and Stripes (will always fly on the top spot)
A Union Jack
A St. George's Cross

I am think my first trip will be the St. George's Cross with the US flag.

I also have 2 magnetic ones on my bumper

I fly a flag to show patriotism. It's not to brag or show off, but show my pride in America. I'm not flying it to be boastful or for any "look at me" value. It's a simple statement that's means an awful lot to me and many others. This flag reminds me of the men and women who fought so we can have the freedom to fly this flag and enjoy the other freedoms we have in this country today.
IMHO, YMMV Happy Trails!

I fly the flag to remind myself and those that FORGET what it stands for… for example; It allows you to question why we fly it, it allows you to stand up and proclaim to be a christian and love your god WITHOUT being persecuted then in the same breath judge the rest of us for loving our Country and UNAPOLOGETICALLY FLYING THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE!

It SHOULD remind you of all the men and women that have served under that flag given parts of their lives or given their lives in defense of everything it stands for!!! I fly out of respect for the friends No not friends BROTHERS...I lost while we served under that flag...and I FLY IT OUT OF RESPECT, LOYALTY, DUTY AND LOVE FOR GREATEST DAMN COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!

Some people understand that our Freedoms weren’t free…they also understand that a very small percentage of Americans are willing to pay for those freedoms!
So if you don’t understand why we fly the flag...take a drive in your fancy RV to the local VA Hospital, stop at a military cemetery, go to a VFW...then walk up to the first Veteran or family member visiting a grave you see and tell them, “you think it seems dumb to fly the flag”, if that doesn’t answer your question then just quietly sit there and be thankful there are those individuals that do understand and are willing to defend those liberties you seem to take for granted!

Yeah, same here... Might have some extra $$ in a couple weeks, so may be ordering a flag setup soon.

I have had a flag flying at my house since I brought it in 2013. Ironically the only other person who does that is my neighbor who is also an immigrant. I fly it because to me it is a mark of respect to the country that has allowed me to make a choice to live here. The US is not perfect, no country is, there are things I would like about home here and things I would like about here at home. But I have the freedom to have those views, the freedom to choose to live here, the freedom to choose not to live here if I so wish. I fly the flag to honor those who paid the price for those freedoms. What is great is that you can disagree with that, and you are free to not fly the flag, lets be thankful to those who have paid for us to have those choices.

The flags in our family were burial flags handed to us by fellow veterans.
I have my Grandmother's, my brother has my Grandfathers. My niece has my Mother's and Father's.

Just a reminder that if you leave your flag up at night you need to light it up. I have a solar light at the top of the pole.

True! We had some good winds the other day and the pole move too much, so much, that the light on top unthreaded and fell. Now the light is terminally cracked and needs replacement.
