Walmart - Safe-er-Grip 17" Bath & Shower Safety Handle $11.00
Lowe’s - Rain or Shine White Metal Flag Pole Mounting Bracket $11.00
Lowe’s - 2 ea. 1/4” U bolts $3.00

Drilled out the metal bracket holes to 1/4”, wallered the hole, to accept the u bolt, only required my drill motor, 1/4” drill and a 7/16” wrench.

I figured It would be secure or they would be removed from the shelves because of liability.

Cleaned the area, placed it on the edge as not to stress to much on the fiberglass. Have had it up for 10 days, just remove the pole from the base at night. It’s rock solid. I am going to treat it like the awning, if I believe the winds will damage the awning I pull it in, will do the same with the flag As not to overly stress.

Well, I haven't been able to get a flag setup, yet, but we have some small flags and a flag themed pinwheel there on the site. Lower right corner of pic.

We had some wonderful weather, though a bit windy. But the temps have been really nice this weekend.

Thanks, Scott. Looks great!

Where we were camping last weekend, as shown in my last post, a couple/few people there had their flags up. They looked great flying in the wind.

We went camping this weekend, great weather, surprisingly a good amount of people get out and enjoying the Fall season. Once again APOLOGETICALLY flying Old Glory.

Somebody walked by and actually made the comment it was a little late to decorate for July 4. I just don't understand the remark

It’s because there’s a part of the population that does NOT understand that:
FREEDOM IS NOT FREE! They take it for granted, don’t appreciate it and don’t understand the sacrifices that our Men and Women make every single day! Some of those individuals gave the ultimate sacrifice in the defense of this Country.

Several pages back one of those individuals posted that they didn’t understand WHY we fly the flag and basically made fun of us and the practice. Since the post has been removed I’ll assume that he/she asked a Moderator to remove it. If they won’t stand by their own words and opinion why would they stand in defense of everything the Flag stands for…?

I stand for the Flag, in front of my Family and on the necks of my enemies!

I'm fairly certain that was meant as tongue-in-cheek. Nice display.

It's Flag Day!!

Golly, it's been awhile since this thread was last used.

It's June 14th and it's Flag Day!

I've seen many flags up at the park this year; some small and some big.

Do you have your flag up? Post a pic!

If you want to see proof of media bias, go to google calendar and and look at the month of June. Oh? Nothing on June 14? Guess they forgot Flag Day.
