Shower drain leak

Had a bad shower drain leak. Flange on other side of nut under shower.l sawed flange off and got rubber hose 2 different sizes on either end. Clamp both sides, one side overdrain thread and one side over pipe with flange cut off. No more leak and if the pan moves the hose has flexibility. JAYCO should be doing that.

If it wasn't so hard to work under my shower, I'd consider doing this proactively.
