Shower head question

I'm back with another hopefully simple question.
To change the shower head in our camper, can I use a regular
house type (like from Menard's, etc.) or is a special RV one required?

Thanks again!

Just like the ones in your house you can get at Menards. The issue might be with your TT's water flow/pressure.

There is a RV one out there that everyone likes, I just forgot its name at the moment. I am sure someone will mention it.

We have this one and it works great. Many people remove the factory ones for the Oxygenics.

The Oxygenics don't come with a shut off. You can get one at Lowes or HD for a few dollars and install it just under the handle. Saves a lot of hassel when it comes to turning the water on and off after you get the temperature where you want it.

Had a oxygenics and the wife said take it out. Too loud and pressure was too high on her. Went back to a standard plastic head (Bed Bath & Beyond) and she's happy with the softer spray.
If momma's happy I'm happy.

Happy trails,

They have a new one with the shut-off valve included. I have seen them advertised but never had one.

Just a personal preference: I bought a Oxyenics and gave it away. Neither me or my wife liked it.

Again, thank you for the input. I'm not sure what we're going to do, yet. At least the shower in this
trailer works better than our previous one.

Soulman, is the problem about the flow rate at your shower head? If it's better when you run your pump than on full hookup, try a higher pressure regulator. There's one at CW for $10 that provides 55psi to the camper [assuming you use a regulator]. The pump in my Eagle provides 55psi. If you have the Sureflo Revolution pump, it's rated the same. My shower pressure was fine while on the pump, it was usually the CG water pressure that was the problem. BTW, my 2012 F-250 is Crimson & Cream- not really, it's black and no gold-ever. lol Terry

No, actually this shower head (and shower area itself) is WAY better than in the 17C we had. My wife was just wanting something better. Whatever is how I usually answer her on these things, which is a good answer because I saw someone post somewhere on here that they were outvoted 1-1. I'm just happy to be able to stand up and move around in the shower.
Anyway, we have and use a pressure regulator.
Actually, I like purple, but my motorcycle is the closest I'll get to a vehicle being purple. A purple truck and you all would be invited to my funeral.

We just put in an oxygenics shower head with the on off switch from camping world for 29.99. What a difference that made to the shower pressure! Well the worth the buy and installation!

Yes it does I have one.. there is a knurled knob at the bottom of the handle you turn.
To answer your original question.. yes you can add a residential shower head.. I just tried it with mine and an old RV shower hose.. and it worked..

I bought the Oxygenics installed inside, used it and took it out and put the old one back in. The Oxygenics is now in the outside shower. I thought the one that came with the TT was better. I was going to put that in the outside shower instead. I even went to my dealer and attempted to purchase a second oem, he said they didn't make them any longer.

I purchased the oxygenics with on/off valve and it works great. Water pressure is much better and ability to turn the water off (with trickle) helps to not run out of water. Two peple use the shower back to back without issues.

Another shoot out for Oxygenics. We are really happy with it! Ours has the cut off. I think maybe earlier units didn't have the cut off.

I too have less pressure on full hook ups. I think it's time to drop some cash on a real adjustable regulator!
