shower skylight exterior protection

I put up the max air covers over both of my roof vent fans. Anyone use anything for the shower skylight? I would hate to be struck by hail & develop a crack. Also any suggestions for insulating that skylight from the inside?

I haven't put any added cover protection over my skylights..., but I do apply Aerospace 303 a couple times a year for UV protection, thus minimizing yellowing and becoming brittle (little help for hail).

On the inside I use the two-sided-foil attached with velcro....., the same sun-shield cover sold for the entry door window.

This product: https://www.amazon.com/Camco-SunShie.../dp/B001D9E41I

I also removed the interior ceiling skylight covers and added an insulation barrier (stapled two sided insulation foil) in any open area around the wood trusses, this reduced the amount of condensation buildup on the skylights during cold weather camping.

I use foil faced bubble wrap sold for duct insulation. I have a little plastic stick in the middle that goes across and keeps it from sagging or falling down. Really keeps out the sun in the morning and heat all day long.

I use it on all the windows to prevent fading and sun heat build up. Occasionally for privacy in addition to the built in drapes.

I have done nothing to my skylight. Been through many hail storms, and no damage.

It is mighty yellow.
