Good question, and as you implied it can vary from one model to another (floorplans, size of slide, etc). Never weighed my TT tires independently (or one side versus the other). Your question brings up another: To what extent do RV manufactures control this condition in their design criteria?
Also, check over at RV.NET, I do recall a few months ago there was a thread on the same subject, don't recall the outcome.
I know that your question centers around "while in tow"...., but you may find this interesting: My loaded TT tongue weight is 1,200lbs, but with the slide extended (out) my loaded tongue weight drops to a little over 900lbs. Used Sherline Scale for results. Oh, I don't tow my TT with the slide out (got called out on this the last time I made this statement...lol)
